I’m living in a world I am best forgotten in.
Who I am hates who I’ve been.
I’ve been on top, I’ve hit rock bottom.
I have many flaws, anyone can spot them.
I’ve been loved, I’ve been hated,
I was there when my parents demonstrated,
How much they hated each other, but loved me,
I’m not happy, am I supposed to be?
When I was low I was a danger,
And everybody thought I had too much anger.
What was a supposed to do?
Lose the real me and start being you?
But I didn’t, I kept being me,
My life wasn’t as I’d hoped it’d be.
There was a lot more hurt and a lot more pain.
If I could do it again I would do it the same.
Because what’s worth changing,
That isn’t entangling,
If you changed anything it would change who you are,
Why do that? Because to some people you’re already a star.
