Oh the weather outside is frightful
Snow is falling onto the ground
At times it’s as if life is spiteful
Oh the weather outside is frightful
Come inside, it’s warm, it’s delightful
Fire logs popping, I love that sound
Oh the weather outside is frightful
Snow is falling onto the ground
Hear it here
Author notes
This is a first line cento that was used as an example in a contest that I was a co-host for. The lines in italics were used from the first line of the Christmas Carol “Let it snow.”

Following forms such as this ,sets your abilities apart to begin with. And listening to the reading done so well adds to it's already crisp clear easy to understand verse.Nicely done.~~Suseann

Well, I love the gentle flow of this, and the words are dramatic. So, is that your voice? Very nice, I must say. Happy Holiday, my friend. Hugs, Patricia

The thing I love about this poem is the fact that it is a centro-triolet! That is all, thank you for showing me what a centro-triolet is. You are a born teacher and that is what I love about you.

Is there something about meter too? I would say "snow is falling to the ground", not "onto the ground".
Anyway, it's a cute poem, whatever the case might be.
Happy New Year.

This is a wonderful centro-triolet! You did the famous lines sweet justice with this very delightful poem! I love the image of logs popping in the fireplace (wish I had one!) That is a cozy sound! I love this form when it is done well, and the repetition flows smooth, you have managed that very well!!
