'doom and despair'

‘Doom and Despair’

In the darkest of times I am alone,
surrounded by fear my soul is in stone.

Awakened by dread, everyday of my life,
an unhappy woman, a terrible wife.

Sadness and doom, envelops my soul,
I'll never feel joy, I'll never be whole.

In the depths of despair, I hope for no other,
be close to my heart, my wonderful mother.

I pray for the day, to end all of my fear,
no more sorrow or pain, my Lord to be near.

Despite what the crazy person above me implies, I don't think God is the answer to you being a terrible wife. I don't know you, so maybe your mother has something to do with why you wrote this poem, but it isn't really clear as to why she makes an appearance in this work. Is it because it rhymes? If so, bad move. If not, good job. And, good write. (I'm not a jerk, honest!)
