Dr. K, MD. Endo. 2/28/02:

Author notes

For PB's contest. Option: "Write in a form that is a] made up, b] love immensely or c] that I have never heard of. I like c the best.

PB I am taking a chance on this entry. I don't know if this is shit to you or not. This is a 'List' poem which is actually a form of poetry, but I took it a bit further than that, obviously.

This is a replication of an actual list I made prior to a routine medical appointment on 2/28/02. I had to remind myself to smile and be happy, because this doctor was very difficult to communicate with and it seemed to help her to view me as a person, and not just a 'number'.

Also, this IS a mask of sorts that I wear for medical personnel.

Oh. YOu get too much medication huh he he. Not always something that you want! I think most people tend to downplay their pain and discomfort; I know my mom sure does. Part of our innate survival instinct perhaps. Maybe too much pride.

Yes this is different and I do enjoy playing around with forms sometimes. Thank you very very much my dear for reading and commenting from the heart. Again, nothing to forgive and you get your bootie out to school or erm studying. It is late there I think... I can never remember lol.

When i visit my doctor, there are hundred percent chances that I lie to him on how I feel... I dont know the reason for why i behave like this, but it comes out naturally... plus the more honest I be with him, the more medication I get...its all just, even though the doctor remains good to me I sometime have been rude to him... I dont make such list on a paper.. but on mind I always have it to stay shut and try to end the meeting soon... lol...

Coming to your post here... i have never really read such a post on here before... its something new and worth reading... makes the reader think for himself which thought might have made you write that specific topin on the list....

very nice write.. sorry for not reading you.. i hopey ou forgive me

take cares and have a nice time my dear friend.. just keep it up... your humble little friend.... .... .... .... - vic ( who else? )

I just saw that I might have forgotten to thank you for your lovely comments Gen-- so sorry. Thank you! I was shocked to win this contest as the poem is so odd. But very happy PB is a tough judge and I'm tickled to impress her.

Guess what? I got Paint Shop Pro! I really love it. I keep calling it PRINT Shop but you're right this is easier the paint. I am going to do my own graphics designing as I really love it and well I have much to learn and shall enjoy the time spent doing SOMETHING creative as my muse is in the Carribean grrr

Oh my gosh, -Fae! This is brilliant! Poignant, witty, so original and...just brilliant (oh, I said that already )
The presentation with the font is simply... stunning. You have an excellent artistic eye. I always appreciate that.

Wow, love it! I know exactly what you mean about doctors thinking of you as a 'number' (or guinea pig) too

Ah thank you Merry very much. I am really happy that PB liked this and putting it in an image makes it look much like how I wrote it at the time. Shoot two days ago I went through the drive through car wash at the gas station. I got stuck on the ramp, never ever happened to me before. And I had to sit there and figure out what to do for about 2 minutes. I ran over the ramp and went around to go through again. Then, I did the same thing again. I finally got a wash. I forgot how to drive in on the ramp which I have done many many times before as I did a stint once for a rental car company and drove them through every day. Interesting how the mind works sometimes!

    Congratulations on your gold! Whoot!
This is a look into another reality that people who are young and healthy may not think of. Short term memory loss and significant illness are a terrible combination, but you treat it with humour that inspires smiles and compassion. Excellent, a trophy well deserved.

You really liked this? You wouldn't lie to me would you? I hope not! It's not exactly a literary masterpiece but then none of my work is. Just honest. I write myself notes before each appointment. On the few occasions I don't I am incoherent from lack of sleep etc etc. Lol. Anyways I didn't really expect you to like this. Or to get it. Methinks I underestimated you BUT I am so so glad you did.

The font is one I downloaded from MS Publisher. I wrote it as text, then saved it as a picture in two halves. Then uploaded the pictures here. It is neater than my handwriting But the most similar I could find. Thanks again is nice to be understood, even when I write in fragments

is that your handwriting? it's loopy. loopy is good.
    such fun.....such fun.
anyways, this made me cry. thoughts intertwined with other thoughts in between of praticality. watching ELF. how i love this movie...but...thoughts. they're like brainwaves, passages to people's souls...and the randomness is thrown in. because...that's howm our brains work. that's how MY brain works.

merry christmas & a happy new year.
