Alone

I'm alone, alone in the dark
All alone, you've left, left me here
Why did you go?
Why did you leave?
Leave me here
Alone, all alone
I cry out, out in silence
My pain has no words
I cry out, out for you
Don't go, don't leave
I'll stumble, I'll fall
Fall through a hole
A hole in the dark
I'll stumble, I'll fall
Fall down, i wont get up
I'll lay there all alone
Alone in the dark
The dark hole
Don't go, Don't leave
Stay, lift me up
Gide me
Don't go, Don't leave
Stay

Author notes

I wrote this poem the day i heard that my gradpa's lung collapsed... it broke my heart to think he could leave me here, on earth, so soon.

wow, this poem I feel can be reatlated to more than just losing a family member, but a close friend or lover, the way how you say don't go, how you are willing ot give up, like you havce no reason to go on...trying to bargin with them to stay...but some of them can't/I am sorry to hear about your grandfather, I have lost two grandparents several great grandpastrents and many many friends...Death is never easy...even after the amout of death i have expeirienced it still hurts. beautiful poem it shows this emotion so well...I don't really know what ot call it...begging, bargening, pleeding...hopless or lost..dispear...great job!

Wow! I liked the poem. The emotion and the cries of sorrow were strong indeed. Losing someone really close to you is hard, I know. My grandfather died of a heart-attack (not long after a stroke). My grandmother's second husband (and last one) died after being killed by a semi. I missed them both a lot. They both died months apart. I love them.
But your poem is amazing. Sums the sullen feeling all up within 23 lines. Impressive.

Anyways live on and live again.

Oh, I'm so sorry about your grandfather. I know how you feel, also. My grandfather is passing away right now, and its very hard to watch. About your poem, though: It is expressive, straightforward and a vent. If that was what you were going for you did a very good job. Also, thanks for the comment. Hope everything goes well for you in the future.
