I love to moon away the day
with poem and serenade;
I love to drape myself in black
silk brassière and mourning jade;
I love to turn loud whispers mute
outwit chaotic illusion;
I love to smile those sensual tears
which add to the confusion;
I love to whip unbridled lust
and keep passion at bay;
But... I can't hide my purple pain:
my pen gives me away ...

Lovely!
This one is simply a lovely poem. I see that you are great at writing sad ones. I love sad love poems myself.

I've noticed you're a very good rhymer. There's no rhyme scheme to this poem, but it's fraught with it regardless of your intent . . . it buried . . . this was fun. thank you.
