Snowman (Cento Triolet)

In the meadow, we can build a snowman;
Look at all the snow that's on the ground!
Because the white has covered all of the land,
In the meadow, we can build a snowman.
Instead of building castles in the sand,
Let's use this scarf and coal I found.
In the meadow, we can build a snowman;
Look at all the snow that's on the ground!

Author notes

This is my first Triolet, using the line from Winter Wonderland.  Please be gentle!  I love all songs about snow; so, I think I might try and write another entry.  Thanks for reading!

    Ignore the boss - he is all bark and no bite, unless you steal his Oreos!
    he did get one thing right, this is a great triolet you have done a great job of making the refrain line work each time it occurs. Sometimes it just feels tagged on, but that is not the case here.
    I am glad to see more people venturing into form poetry. I think knowing some of the rules helps even when writing free verse.
    Thank you for this fune entry and good luck.
    Susan

    Be gentle, my foot! No way in the world am I going to be gentle about your first triolet! Uh-uh. Nope. OK, so here it is with both barrels. Are you sitting down?

    Brilliant! I loved this and then some. I hope that you decide to write more in this form, because you have done a marvelous job with it.

    Was I too harsh on you? Sorry.
