Childish giggles could be heard far off in the distance in the clearing of a forest where a couple had set up camp for the night.
Kira was fussing over her year old son, keeping him entertained while Sharazon cooked. The dragoness decided she'd have to learn after Diente was old enough to follow requests, but there was no hurry.
Sharazon glanced over at his family every so often, smiling to himself with a sense of pride he'd never felt before. It was strange to him...having a family, but he wouldn't have traded it for the world.
Diente continued to babble and laugh as Kira played with him. The child seemed quite happy and so were his parents.
