We are slipping ourselves into obsessiveness
We cannot be told that what we thought was right is wrong and we are
we are going

Down this spiral of nothingness to a part of our past that we once stood up for
to knock down
Corporate swine
controlling our minds
and I say "NOT THIS TIME!"
Promises to make heads roll
while standing on top of death
he might as well of had a swastika
tattooed on his chest.
We all cheered him on
we are still cheering him on...
WHY AM I THE ONLY ONE!!
We all want peace but I cannot see anyone that has been willing to back me.
We have grown into robots with subliminal infected blood running through our veins
into our brains
every day
every single day.
I just NEED someone to listen to me
this evil needs to
has to be impeached!
But their minds, they are closed
and our allies are now foes
and we deserve it, I suppose...
I AM NOT DONE, YOU NEED TO LISTEN TO ME!

needs to be said
I never liked any one of the Bushes, although I must say I like Bush Sr. more than the current Bush, I least he had the good sense to withdraw our men and women from Irag after a short time, although a still wonder about a viable reason to invade Irag in the first place.
The current Bush is much worse than his father, he launched what he called a "pre-emptive" strike against Iraq, a country that years of UN monitoring had shown no proof of "weapons of mass destruction" and no nuclear viability. Rather, like a cowboy sheriff from the Old West, he entered the street with guns blazing, to rid the town of its "vermin", not caring that he killed some innocent people along the way and lost some of his deputies as well. And, with his newly made up "war on terror", he committed billions of our dollars and thousands of our young to a hopeless task, a task that will never end, until we elect someone that has enough sense to remove our military presence from "over there".
Sometimes there is reason for war, if some one punches you in the face, you have to punch back, witness Pearl Harbor, we had no choice but to retaliate then. But, the key word there is "retaliate", it would seem that now we are in business of invading other countries for reasons of our own liking, led by the Bush-Cheney regime. I wonder how much money Cheney's old company [Halliburton] is making off these wars? Trillions, I would bet. It makes me think that these wars are more about money than about "terroism" and "security" and "freedom".
Anyhow, I think most wars are wrong, and that current war in Iraq is power and money motivated, and has nothing to do with the safety of the American people.
Thank you for your rant, and I hope you win the contest.

Yes, preach it sister! Comes the time when peace will not be seen as being naive, but as our rightful destiny. Sigh, will that be in our lives though?
We must carry the torch, and I thank you for doing so!

Rabbit ears flashing at you! So refreshing to here a young voice raised in intelligent, insistent protest. You can even see above that most have forgotten that Bush was NOT elected, but appointed. Who knows, the second time as we voted on his Bubba buddies machines with no way to validate results. Preach it girl! He has broken enough laws that when the din of united voices, speaking truth to power, reaches a higher volume than Fox news repetions of scripted lies, we may yet see impeachment and a free America.
Peace, Rob -
Thank you, I knew you would like this, I am so fed up with everything, and the thing that is really hurting us is our ignorance, the close minded people that believe that bush really is a good person. Here is a point I know you can back me on: Neither one of us are religious, but we both know that in the bible it says thou shalt not kill, well if bush is so christian, why the hell is he sending people to go kill people? It doesn't make any sense to me, anyways, thanks for the comment!

This is fantastic. Its a plea really, one I've felt like making every day since I was in 5th grade and Bush was elected the first time.
"he might as well of had a swastika
tattooed on his chest"
some people may say this goes too far, but I disagree. Its true, and most people don't even realize how much fascism we really do have developing in our country. Brainless patriotism, a few corporate superpowers, a media in alliance with the governemnt, and a million other warning signs. -
Thank you so much for your comment, I am so anti-society that it is puring out of me, I just want to do something about it, but writing helps with the anger though!

Well done. Your angst writhes through the poem. You go, girl.
No one is better than anyone else when power comes in to play. it is a corrupt institution..I have little faith in any of the puppets. One is as bad as the next. -
gosh I'm glad to have a "kid" around here who has a sense of power and poetry! I think it's an old JFK quote when introducing Robert Frost as poet laureaute that goes something like "When power corrupts, poetry cleanses," and this poem seems to demonstrate just that.
great job in this write, it really speaks so much and speaks it so well! good luck to you in the contest!
