The small choir of angels
sing softly and true
They are singing their
carols for me....
and for you;
They sing of a newborn
asleep in the hay
of Mary his mother
and Joseph ..who prays;
Wise kings who adorn him
with gifts rich and rare
and cattle surround him..
as close as they dare;
The notes drift around us
so sharp and so clear
telling stories to treasure
and always hold dear.

Thank you for your kind comments, as always they are appreciated. I do thank you for your note regarding the "Kings"..I also remember somewhere that "Christmas" was originally september..october time
I love this special time as it allows us all to once again return to our childhood and re-live some special memories

Very "Merry Christmas" to you and yours

Thank you

There is something rather special about small children singing..perhaps it is the pure voices that touch us rather than the words
Many thanks for your comments

Delighted that you enjoyed it

I love the form of this... it slides so smoothly from one line to the next... perfect for your subject matter. I also like that you chose a chior rather than your average christmas-poem-carollers.

Awww... this was so beautiful. You described everything so well, perfectly, actually. Just yesterday I went to my little sister's choir concert, and they looked so cute up there! lol

You captured "The Choir" very well.. This write is simple. There is no complexity needed in the explanation of something so simply beautiful. Wonderful job!

I really like this i couldn't see the picture. But anyway i loved this poem. It is so true i love to listen to the choir sing Christmas carols especailly the ones about the baby Jesus. Thanks for this wonderful seasonal write. Merry early CHRISTMAS!!!!!

A soft poem of adoration. Somehow I envisioned a children's choir at church. Maybe the picture. This does spark the imagination. A theological note of interest, maybe. The wise men were not at the manger, the bible says they came later. Merry CHRISTmas and thanks for the seasonal write.
