You said I had no feelings for you anymore
so you stay away from me.
that’s no excuse to totally ignore me, is it?
I can’t dictate what the heart doesn’t feel
anymore.
My life has changed, gone in another direction
you had your chance, but you blew it!
But then, ignoring me is not new to you, is it?
that’s the reasons my feelings for you died!
the month’s of silence became too much!
So, one year ago this month I said goodbye,
that is until recently, when you wanted me back!
Did you expect me to pick up where we left off?
you pursued me, said you loved only me,
you never listened when I told you
“It’s too late”
You’d get angry, and off you’d go again!
But you always came back, no matter what I said,
but this time you did listen, said you were hurt.
Did you ever think of the times you hurt me? NO!
So, I guess this time it’s really goodbye,
friendship alone is not enough for you.
Please, this time, don’t come back.

A final goodbye. I think thats good However its very heavy for the heart your protect yourself for more damage. After the first time the wounds stay and your trust is broken. And however you want to stay together its better to break up when the solid love is broken. Its like a statue thats repaired with glue It will never get its old beauty back. It could look alright but there will be always little pieces missing. An excellent write. I hope you find happiness back the world wont stop turning and the sun will again shine for you I am sure Hugs Herman
