Another gold winner. You and the moon are ubiquitous, which is odd because often you are more like the sun.

Congrats on the trophy. This was a nice Yule poem, nice and optimistic which is good on a seasonal write. I like your alliteration.

    Nice write

Yes a truly welcomed moon and the light for the part of the world that would otherwise be as the rest of the world . Yet it shines with its own true beauty

    ROMANTIC BUT NOT REALISTIC

Winter, particularly in the northern hemisphere, transforms the countryside into a veritable dreamland. The northern lights shine so softly like moonshine making it a time for dreaming. One thing of course is essential to enjoy such luxury - winter cloths, a well heated room and an assured income from an indoor employment. Without all these your dream may be nothing short of a nightmare.

Actually I had here a photograph taken by myself at the day I posted this poem. It did show the moon exactly the way I described it

Now it the hear of summer the cool winter sounds very good. Till comes then I want it to be summer. What a fickle bunch we humans are today. The readers comment were very good. I guess this might sum part of it up. Short, brief filled with sweetness. It caress one ears with its natural flow and tempo. Even in the hot summer one can see the images you have put forth in your words. Right cool seems to sound very good. Great job.

    Beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love Winter and with your words you painted a big beautiful image in my mind of a winter night with the moon shining brightly awaiting the first snowfall of the season.I don't read alot of tanka, just here and there but this was short yet revealing such beauty. I can almost feel a cold breeze blowing in my face right now, or could that just be my air running??? just joking....really loved this piece!!Thanks fro sharing!!!~~Toni~~

    Dear Mariza,
Your tanka was certainly worth the wait. The photo and background are so perfect with your tanka. I was hoping more people would write a tanka because I have just recently learned so much about them.

Your pivot line is beautiful, as is the rest of the tanka.

    Have a Blessed Christmas!!

I do not experience winter from where I live and the Mr. Moon is almost always seemed smiling in here unless Mr. Cloud is already in burden with its accumulated waters.
Nevertheless, I find this piece quite soothing and relaxing. True to its thought, but the form I can say is still to be handed to me by my muse which I think would take a little while for me to handle... Nice job on the form.

We've had a full moon yesterday, I think... Maybe it was a few days ago
Winterwonderland is what I love the most, despite it being cold, messing up my hair and wrapping up warm. The snow brings much delight to me alot
    Wonderful tanka indeed

We saw the full moon just a few days ago. In winter its light reflects on the snow and lights up the whole land vividly.

This is just a test. I commented as Coehlo. It now says Yemassee. Think I can still get a comment in that will count? We'll see.

It seems the moon gets an "A" for effort during the dark winter and yet the white ice and snow can turn the landccape into a sea of light.

    Wonderful poam

I might as well comment as Coehlo since it'll soon say Yemassee. hat a great photo. You took that? Wow.

And that is indeed the moon...gloomy yet beautiful. Notice how cold the moon looks during winter. Well, sure you do, there is the photo of it!

Usually we dont see much of the moon with the overcast and rain but the weather recently has been unusually dry giving us some wonderfully poetic view.

    Well written.

At times that old winter moon can make for some distinctively pleasurable memories. A pleasant presentation.
