if only we could see her just one more day
and a monster didn't take her life away
so many, many lives are forever shaken
because of a precious life that has been taken
she was a tiny little girl with a great big smile
with talent and a voice you could hear for a mile
she was thoughtful and giving, warm and kind,
and the one true friend you could ever find
so many people loved her so
and even those that she didn't know
please tell us why did she have to die
and leave everyone behind to sit and cry
comfort them Lord and hold them near
as you are holding her while you shed a tear
always keep her with us, always in our heart
for ever and always, to never part.

Thanks lakitkat - Yes, it was about her ... I knew her big brother & worked with her mom for years. I didn't know her well but she was precious & didn't deserve this at all.. Poor baby. She was a talented, precious girl & it is all so very sad to me - for her family as well as for him.
So, how have y'all been? I have tried to call several times but the line is ALWAYS BUSY!!! What do u have teenagers or something?? haha Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. Let's get together when life slows down a bit ok?

WOW this was fantastic, as I read this I knew in my heart that you were talking about this young lady. She was a beautiful as your poetry. Baileysgrammy you are right that just does not happen here. You did a great job of honoring this wonderful young lady.

thank you for your kind comment. A 19 year old girl was murdered last week & we are all still in shock & trying to understand, but of course who could? Things like that just doesn't happen here in our close knit community. I felt I needed to write something in memory of her as we knew her. You take care too & I will keep in touch.
