This Is My Fantasy / Acrostic

Missing image
To dream of being a Princess in fantasyland
Hoping to meet a Prince t’would be grand.
I stand in front of the mirror with my dreams
Swept away by visions of a castle it seems.

In the distance I see unicorns flying side by side
Soaring through the clouds their wings spread wide.

Music so pure like the tinkling of a grand piano
Young children playing, in the garden below.

Forever in my heart I will remember this day
As my mind drifts to join them as they play.
Now I am a young woman I want you to know
This memory stays ‘til the end, t’will never go.
Always remember your dreams you once had
So when your Prince comes along as a handsome lad.
You will relive your fantasy.

Thank you simpliterature, Yes, I think more now than ever we have to have our fantasies, and as you say, dreams are free. Thank you very much for your wonderful comment.
    Hugs Joan

It's nice, cute, lovely and whimsical. A typical dreamer's expression of what she wants to have despite this millenium of uncertainties. Sometimes we need to visit this part of our lives to refresh... dreaming is free. Well done.

So very whimsical, a fairy tale come to life it seems. I think we've all dreamt of a handsome prince, even I once did (a long time ago lol) Very smooth flow to this and a wonderfully penned poem! Awesome job! Blessings and hugs, Gypsy

This is very nice, love the finish. Reading over the other comments..... a 97 Chevy might just be seen as a white horse for some people. It's all metaphor.

I really do like this. Thanks for entering.

It's only a fantasy Yem, we all know that men and women are not perfect, so don't take it to heart, Love is the most important part of a relationship, and someone to cherish us. OK

I speak for all men when I say, I think all writers of fantasy, both past and present should be taken out and shot (not sure how we'll shoot the already dead ones but we will!) lol.

No way a nice, honest guy can compete with a fantasy. We're no Prince. We have a wart or two and women (unfortunately I've been involved in one or two of these situations) want that prince to come and sweet them off their feet. Well, other than the few jet-setting millionaires out there, the rest of us don't match up. Ah, that gives me the idea for a story...

I'm over it now, but do want to say, ladies, look for a nice guy who will love and cherish you. He might not show up on a white horse, he might be driving a '97 Chevy.
