through the longest, coldest nights
to keep you safe & warm...
I'll sigh softly in your heart
so you'll know I'm there...
I'll watch over you
when you feel all alone ~
when you feel the breeze lift your hair,
that will be me, flying low...
I'll listen for your tears
& dry them with my gossamer sleeve ~
don't worry ~ I'll never leave you...
When darkness grows too deep,
light a candle ~
it will be my breath
that makes the shadows dance...
Know that I am with you,
though you cannot see me ~
I'll be there to lead you
Home...

This warms the heart.
I love to read angel pieces. I've read some good books about them, as well. I love the compassion that is so pure here. God bless you for writing such an elegant piece.

Oh wow...can feel the heavenly touch of one in the midst right beside me by your words. Excellent. Blessings.

-
this verse has an aura of magic and sacredness ...
the gentleness of the whispering spirit voice is almost perceptible, almost tangible ... and I even feel that I have already heard those words, felt those feelings of time's suspension, of not-aloneness, of a silent invisible benevolent present without earthly contours ...
this is why I am confident that your words will touch my cousin very much, for he will also recognize this voice, this transparent touch of angel's wings, this soothing presence of all-one-ness ...
thank you so much for this precious poetic jewel, wanda
much love ...

I always tell my grandchildren that when I die, I will be watching over them just like this. Well written. Sentiments expressed very nicely.

Long time no read, I apologize for that. This is beautiful and we all want those wings protecting us...whether spiritual or metaphorical. I now feel surprisingly safe...hope it protects me from the icy rain and snow we're having.
It's beautiful. -
Poor puppy...I'm quite sure her daddy provided the utmost in proper comfort, too...
Thanks, wattle...
Lady Peach

Yes Lady Peach, this was clearly written for Lady (our dog – www.jeh.org/b1/bath.html ) who had a hellish day today / a bath, then a thunder storm which sends her into all that you have described – (
