JOY
Coming from nowhere,
Despite all that is happening
And yet
It knocks everything down
And I can’t help but smile
At no one
In particular
LOVE
The happiness radiates from it
Yet, who is it from?
A close friend?
I have none
A boy?
None would consider
approaching someone like me
So who?
Here He is
Standing at your shoulder
No, don’t look there,
It won’t do any good;
His face is everywhere:
In the trees
the sky
the lake
And it’s His endless love that you feel.
Why couldn’t I feel it before?
Did you trust Him before?
Author notes
The format of this was inspired by another poem I read recently, and let me just say this: once you find
Jesus' love, you can never truly feel alone again.

this such an inspiring poem...it is very true indeed that when people we love don't love us back and sometimes when we don't love ourselves...we can find Jesus anywhere and if we would just realize His presence...He would love us the way no one would do it...and I'm glad that you feel His love right now in your heart...

Good job here. Best of luck to you and Happy holidays.

I actually wrote this on a bad day, hence the sadness, but I wanted to try to get into writing what Jesus' love feels like so the memory would make the day into a good one (it did)

Wow this was great,I loved the formatting style you used and you did an excellent job on the imagery, great job

Wow. Um.... Wow. Not much else to say. I agree with Katerina. The formating, the bit of imagery, it's all great. I get the feeling like this is something straight out of your soul, exactly how you experienced it. Wow. And the touch of sadness in the middle keeps the happiness from being overwhelming. Did I say "wow"?

EEEEEEE! I really really liked this one!
I loved the formating in this. It especially makes the repition of form stick out. In other words, its good.
I like how there almost appeared to be two people talking in the last stanza. It's great, and it creats a feel of wisdom in it.
I like the sense of wonder in the poem's center. It really creats a compelling message.
All in all, great write. I really really liked it!
