I have been tattooed by the sun
left to wonder in amazement at the beautiful nothingness that has enveloped me and left me amazed
I cannot cover my eyes because I will only open them into a void of forever
and then I could fall...
Fire could release a certain unmistakable thought of mine
but then
I would be alone, not alone, but lonely
I am growing into forever
growing into a state of my own mind that will allow me to be a permanent fixture in your eyes.
I feel like I am floating
or
that I have been floating on top of every ones dreams
and they only see me
when they look inside
I am being held captive by this feeling of dread
that I am where everyone in this world has been at one point in their lives
Stuck
in forever...

I love the title to this poem, and it reminds me of much of my own writings. Forever and now are synonymous, in my view, and this poem touches upon that. Of course, I've come to see this as a wonderful thing, but there were times when I too felt stuck, in a rut.
At any rate, nice, evocative poem.
