You Say You Want A Revolution

The Beatles,Rolling Stones and the Dave Clark Five.
Rocked the American music scene into another life.
Dusty Springfield,Maryann Faithful,Petula Clark too,
came to America to awake a new spirit in me and you.

Gerry and the Pacemakers, from the Mersey music beat,
Chad Stewart and Jeremy Clyde sang ballads sweet.
Who and I'll never forget the Moody Blues invasion,
so many rocked my world in musical sensations.

The year it all started was 1963 opening the way,
for many others that grew to inspire us today.
John Lennon and the boys brought us social changes,
left me in a tailspin that to this day rearranges.

I'm stuck in a time warp from where I belong,
and have no desire to escape from this throng.
