I wonder if I will ever see the day
that I won't think of you
every song we sang so sweet
the way our voices blend and dance together
something so beautiful
angels would weep in envy at our perfection
we were perfection
As time went by I started to notice
You sang the words to me
entranced by the movement of your lips
I was too lost in the moment to see
that you never really did any of it for me
but in your mind you saw
another's face through the melody
I think back on the way you held me
empty...
as if held at gunpoint to do so
here you are longing to touch her skin
it was there I fell in love
well the gun has turned
though I am the one on the floor bleeding
I don't want you to pity me
it is only natural
this pain I feel
when the one you love doesn't love you back
but please pity the next man to look upon me
for with their embrace
I will long to feel your fingertips
as they grace the small of my back
and with every love song I hear
I will sing for you

Wow beautiful! So many things it hurts when you love someone, and its not mutual. Its like some times you think why did you waste your time, but then you realize because you were happy. Your heart was not only broken but torn, scorn, and many more. I can relate very well. Great poem keep up the work, and express yourself.
