her mane flows like a waterfall
across her skin happilly
until reaching the brink
and cascading down to crash upon
her smoothe, supple shoulders.
her skin so soft and touchable
envelopes a tender heart
and sparks an electricity
that i pray that i will only know;
the feel of life in a life gone to hell.
her eyes are my sun when it rains;
a frosty mid-day blue.
like a brief glimpse of heaven
yet my everlasting glimpse;
until eternity ends.
her lips are the touch of ecstacy
that stirs my soul with the promise
that there may be happy endings
to a seemingly dark and forboding future.
for she is my wife
and i love her...
Author notes
heather and i are divorced, but are close friends. (in fact, better friends than when we were married. howz that for weird? she still remains one of the most wonderfull souls on earth and i certainly never deserved the joy of her companionship. as i put my lifes memories here it is only fair that she be a part of this.

when you comment to me as " my devil friend" it leads me to believe that i already know you. if we are already friends then tell me who you are for i dont want to speak of or to you like a stranger...this nic " i fooled you" kinda bugs me...i speak only truth to people, would appreciate the same ok?....

heather is gone. i have been alone for a long time now. is ok, i am ok with what i have to deal with... at least now she has a house and some sort of stability...(house, new husband, children in good schools.) life is good for the people that truly matter; even if they havent figured that out yet..

In your response to your last reply, for I am not sure if you wanted one or not, I would like to say that the darkness beckons to us all. Just some of us more than others, if you know what I mean. I hope you find the light for it is one of the most important things you will see. Even if you see that light in a soul that you no longer have that is good enough, I think. Hey, I think that everyone deserves a wonderful soul in their life, as I am sure you do! I agree with what you say about love also. Just sadly for me, it's not returned. But I have hope that it will when the time is right! If you express yourself everyday like you do with your poetry then I'm sure someone will be sure to hang on to you! As for your poem, I think it is excellent and well expressed. Keep it up my devil friend!

ty for your comment. she is not so much a lucky lady as i am a lucky man for having been blessed by the truest joy of having a relationship with one of the most wonderfull souls on earth. it saddens me greatly that i once was young and dumb and pretty much a shithead and lost her companionship. i never deserved someone as wonderfull as her...(go figure, am the "devilhimself" ya know.

love is one of the few things still freely given nowdays. it is a gift to another yet still a gift to oneself. give it freely without expectations and never take it for granted if by chance it comes back to you...thank you for your kind comment and i will shortly check out your writing...
