It is Christmas in the warren
Chester bunny is delighted
tomorrow will be Christmas
he is feeling so excited
In the farmers field is Frosty
standing guard for all of the hares
a corn cob pipe and black hat
cub bears safe and snug in the lairs
Chester is waiting for Santa
his eyes gaze upon the night sky
suddenly without a warning
an empty sleigh goes whizzing by
Santa fell out on the tundra
he was found by some Eskimos
kept bouncing on his round belly
fell on his face and broke his nose
Santa abed in an igloo
empty sled with a bag of toys
Chester bunny would save Christmas
visiting all good girls and boys
Knowing Rudolph would lead the sleigh
by the light of his blinking nose
holding tightly onto the reins
up up and away there he goes
A world wide adventure over
back at the warren in the lea
Chester has made his final stop
with presents for his family
Carols are sung in the meadow
snowshoes, jack rabbits and the hare
enjoy the season of giving
Chester has taught us all to share

Christmassy delighting
Hi, Sandy. I'm going to read this to David and Ben. They will love it! You catch a childlike magic in this poem. Of course, Chester Bunny is news to me. Your creation? In the illustration, he is as lovable as your poem says he is. Very pleased with himself! By sharing, we are happy. The picture tells it all. Thanks again, Sandy. Lyndon Wise -

Wow, this is a wonderful little tale you have penned Sandy! There are others that are like this too? Yes Christmas is definitely a time for sharing, something some of us don't know anything about, but then there are the givers of the world! Thank you for sharing such a delightful poem, have a wonderful evening, Ken IBT
