A simpering simmering swill still spills
sodding soup after cooking
hot pot painted like real steel
done while no-one was looking
A simpleton stammers while writing right
cause his words fail to test reason
Is progress learned when expressed?
signs of a man for all seasons
splash of red on a forehead
hidden to be revealed
now eyes are closed in time to go
meaning never received
Author notes
I am too lazy to comment so I have done both entering and commenting on the last poem before the contest.

Ahhh, alright; that would explain why you didn't post an actual comment. I'll give you props for the novelty, if nothing else.
Whether or not any poem of mine sends "negative messages" is irrelevant to me, since one of the fundamental principles of poetry is the art of interpretation. What I don't like is when someone comments and acts like they know any poem of mine better than I, the author, do when it comes to the poem's overall theme and message. Thus, I didn't appreciate ierean's comments much, not because I thought they were particularly wrong, but because he acted as if he understood my poem and I didn't know a damn thing about it. -
good
I wrote this poem as a sort of quixotic comment on the poem Castaways. The idea behind it was to show what I considered to be the errors of fact in the writing of the poem. It is a defense of a position and at the same time an impassioned plea to the poet to pay attention to the message that they are sending to prevent negative messages being sent. i felt it was self explanatory but ierean and gypsybelle have convinced me that they do not understand what tmy message was. -
Oh so my comment must be on your page well I posted it there also.

You're too lazy to comment, you say? Great! Then I'm too lazy to think about this until you follow the contest's rules.
