Happy Birthday, Margaret ....(acrostic) (Silver Trophy)

Missing image
Happy Birthday, Margaret....(acrostic)

Here’s hoping all your candles go out
As you blow that mighty breath
Puffing away with all you’ve got
Pooching those ruby red lips
You’ll do it I bet, ‘cuz you want that wish to come true

Birthdays are hard enough at our age
In retrospect I’ve had quite a few, way more than you
Rejoice, though, my dear Margaret
Thank your lucky stars you’ve had so many
Have a great day and party all night
Don’t regret growing old one bit as the
Alternative isn’t all that good
Youth may be slipping away but …..

Many more years lie ahead
And as a wise old woman once said
Regression to lifestyles of those younger years
Going backwards in time is quite nice
As we think of all the laughter and tears
Reliving within our minds
Each moment we can cherish all over again and…..
Tomorrow’s yesterday is today’s party !!!!

Happy Birthday, Margaret !!!!!

    Great BD Tribute

    Well, I have beat you all by nine,
    except maybe for you, catz???
    My nine lives have all been fine!
    Don't know which one I'm in, though. Rats!

    Anyway, my birthday
    is not so big a deal.
    With nine lives, what the hey!
    I've still got sex appeal!

    Excuse me Cats but I have to ask Gaze a question. You like birthdays? Odd I didn't know that. Man are we different there! (But I like gifts!)

    Funny but really well written. Acrostics are harder than, well, ummm, my head! Talking about heads, I be ole Margaret has a huge one after having two contests in her honor! Is the best still to come? I hope so, but it has been going steadily downhill since I hit 40, lol.

    Dear Dee,
    ~~~
    Your acrostic is comforting, warming and nice
    with a lot of good humour and friendly advice.
    There's a very true saying which old sages give:
    "The more birthdays you outlast, the longer you'll live!"
    Thankyou for entering Dee. Good luck in the contest.
    Love and hugs, XXX Hugh R.
    Zowie!
    Dear Dee, you gave me a good laugh with your "don't mind getting old" schtick. Truly I don't mind, I'm seeing my sons grow up and doing many things I had never thought I would. Thanks for this great acrostic and the delightful wry humour.
    Dear Dee, This is a wonderful birthday message for Margaret, and yes, we can look back to memorable moments in our younger years, especially when we get to our age. A well written Acrostic my dear Dee. Love it.
