The road was covered in ice
You were on your way home
It was dark
You must have lost control
They said you'd died on impact
That you felt no pain
I wonder if they're just lying
To put my heart at rest

We buried you today
Still in disbelief
You shouldn't have died
Not that way
Not that young
They tell your children
You've gone to Heaven
A place I'm not sure exist
But I don't say anything
I'll just wait
For my time to come
See if we met on the other side

omg im like cryin kno this was just so sad and i get rele emotional when i read poems about ppl who hav lost loved ones because it rele does hurt. im so sry hang in there! awesome poem! u hav true talent!

Aww, this is such a sad poem I'm sorry that you have lost him
This was a good personal poem- written in second person to him Good personal piece, keep writing through this sad time I liked the ending, it shows that if there is a place there then you will meet and gives some hope I think if he's a good man than either there is a heaven and he's there, happy or there's nothing, and then he knows no sorrow and no pain.
