Hidden Life

Another lonely, starry sky.
Time stands still yet days go by.
Failing love, unfailing lust
Just another pair of tear filled eyes.

Another noisy, lightning rain
the droplets fall and hide her pain.
Thunder booms and clouds, they flash
just another crush going insane.

Another freezing frostbite cold.
His clothes worn out, his shoes are old.
A homeless man, no food, no love.
Just another life that bends and folds.

Another worthless, forgotten life.
She cant have a family, cant be a wife.
When she cuts her wrists and kills herself,
another use for a kitchen knife.

Another sunny, cloudless day
You take your problems and fade away.
You lock yourself into a bottle,
just another waste of words to say.

Just a stricken, angered brother
a sister who sickly hates her mother.
Everyone has a hidden life,
but why should any be just another?

Your poem spoke to me of individual problems, all important, getting lost in the multitude of issues in the world. This is a powerful thought - keeping sight of the importance of each individual's existence. Well penned! James
