Sadness,
desperately wanting
a better moment,
lost inside empty existence,
miserably.
Author notes
This was written for a poetry assignment in my ninth grade English class. "Write a short poem that's to-the-point about a feeling. Be general with details, but capture that specific emotion in words." (The form is a Modern Cinquain.)

Well this was definitely to the point! A better definition of sadness I don't think I'll find anywhere else. Beautiful write

INTRIGUING!
I find it amazing that some artists can create various moods with such a short poem and you are one of those writers with such an incredible ability. I absolutely love the assignment I may even try it. This is a tremendously great choreography of words. I applaud your expertise and talent. BRAVO!!!
-
You have captured what I have felt many times- well done and sounds straight from the heart- for you to be able to write so well under the pressure and mere cue of 'assignment' is impressive. I hope you got a good grade! Duana

It really does capture that universal feeling- Im sad, alone, don't want to face the reasons. But you're right, we're not alone Thanks for the explanation, very interesting.

This certainly sums up sadness cogently and most succinctly, no question! Very nicely and very deftly done short poem, indeed! bravo... bravo...

Sadness comes from trying to fill your existence with things that don’t matter you are not alone inside you is a soul screaming out to you to see the beauty which is a simple shadow.
Love this poem, makes you think.

I can efinately relate to these emotions, as have found myself in these states more often than not. It's hard to know what to do with yourself when nothing seems to go right and you hate life more than anything else. Well wrote. Always here if you need a chat

In crispy words excellently told.. Keep it up.May God Bless you. -
Short and to the Point
SO little of words and so much said in those words. As we stand here each and everyday with this sadness this pain this horror and wait for that one moment in time when we take our stand and grab hold of the dream we was chasing. We all hope that the grass is greener on the other side.
GREAT WRITE!!!!
