True Love
They tell me that true love is funny,
that it happens at the strangest of times.
And that when kissing your true love,
you are suppose to hear chimes.
But that is an old wives tale,
for it doesn't always happen that way.
You see love is something that grows,
not just something you say
.
It seems that when love is found,
its either too late or the love goes.
The lovers are too shy to say it,
but for why,nobody knows.
So whenever I say,"I love you!"
It doesn't mean I know you won't leave.
Yet whenever I say,"I love you!"
You should be able to believe.
I can't say that love is for us,
that still is something to see.
But I can say that it would be nice.
If its a true love to be!
