My beloved dog Jett

You slobber.
You beg.
And you follow me.
But you DONT bark.
You DONT bite.
And you DONT growl.

You are always happy,
As you can see.
You are old.
But you are so cute and so sweet.

You are turning grey.
And you are getting older each year.
You are growing weaker,
But at the same time, more sweet.

Your time will come sometime.
But when it does,
I will remember you.
I wont cry sad tears,
Maybe a little.
But I will cry more happy tears,
Knowing you are in a better place
With other animals to play with.
I love you, Jett.

awe, what a cute poem. I've never had a dog, but I've had two cats, and one of them is dead and the other we gave away. I miss them both. D: Well, nice poem, and like Rhygirl I found your site by Catz. Good Luck in all you do and God Bless.

a lovely dedication to the poets dog

I found your name on the site belonging to Catz. I can see why she likes your poetry.I love dogs and cats and you wrote a lovely poem about your dog.. sometimes I have found that my 4 leggedfriends can be much friendler than many of the 2 legged animals that I hear of. I hope that you do not suffer from writers block too much.I wish you well, Rhygirl60 Liverpool England

Awww, I love doggies. This is so cute. Nice write. I wrote a couple of poems about my dog Mandy. Sadly we had to put her to sleep about a year ago. Oops, sorry for my rambling. Anyway, I like this it's very sweet.
