I confess
I made many mistakes
I'm not perfect
And I'll admit that.

But neither are you.

You made all those promises,
and wrote all those poems,
and said all those things,
and lied all those lies.

And like an idiot, i bought
every
single
word.

And when you started
to ignore me,
I cut you a break
and stuck with you.

My friends all told me
you were no good,
but i stuck up for you
over and over again.

And then i began to doubt
if I really deserved
to be treated
like that.

And i realized i had been wrong
all along.
I didn't deserve to be ignored
and you didn't deserve me.

I loved you
and made you first priority
and stuck by you.

But now that you're gone
and I'm thinking about this
about all those things
you said.

How you'd love me,
keep me,
never hurt me,
or make me cry.

ALL LIES.

I made many mistakes
blinded by love
and words
and the romance.

But my very first mistake
was believing you.
