asphidity

acerbic grate of
cheese on whine

no time for
your side of the story

my glory
mine mine mine
it all belongs to me
you see

my way highway
so keep pace
no space
for a mind of your own

aught times aught
is aught
taught
in analgesia of
social acceptability

now accepting your
required donations
of praise and awe
in balls of asphidity
hung in
asinine promises
of appropriateness

mediocrity becomes you
in the light of my
acrimony

Author notes

definition for balls of asphidity--and old southern term replacing a swear.  Asphidity is correctly a plant resin -- asafoetida--  it was placed in cloth bags and worn around the neck for colds, asthma, and other respiratory problems.  It was commonly used during my mothers youth.  The expression --great balls of asphidity-- was my great grandmothers way of saying --holy crap-- as it stunk much the same.

This is basically a rant against those who try to keep us all quiet, agreeing with them, and void of personal oppinion.

Yes, I am hoping to do the B word list soon. My work schedule has gotten extremely hectic since Christmas break, but I'm gonna try as soon as possible.

Hahaha. Thanks for the comments. I hope to see a list of not so well known b words soon. I hope you are planning one . Would be fun to go through the entire alphabet. Q, X and Z would certainly make for some interesting pieces

I enjoyed this very much. It was like a slap in the face-and no, I don't enjoy that! hehe It was just an original idea and I liked the rhyme scheme. Keep it up!
