Words

I can never seem to find the words,
words to tell you just how I feel,
words to say how much I love you.
Words to tell you what you mean to me,
words to show you how special you are.

I could tell you so many things,
That you're always on my mind,
...but you know that.
That you haunt my dreams at night,
...but you know that.
That you make me feel like I'm more than nothing,
...but you know that.
That I'd gladly spend my every waking moment with you,
...but you know that.

I could say, "I love you" so many ways,
but they're still the same old words.
They've all been said before,
and they'll all be said again.

Great men say, "Words are cheap."
And I agree.
Great men say "Love is beautiful."
And I agree.
Great men say, "Love is eternal."
And I agree.
Great men say, "A picture is worth a thousand words."
And I agree.

But these are just more words.
Simple words,
that pose more questions than answers.
How do you show love?
Can you draw love?
Can you paint it?
Can you sing it?
If you can't just say it?

Does anyone know?
If so, please tell me.
I've been searching for a way,
to truly show my love for you,
every single day.

But until I find a way to show you,
All I can really do is say again,
those three simple words,
that mean so much,
yet so little.
I love you.
Forever.

Author notes

An explanation:
I've told Katie several times that I don't know words to describe how I feel about her... This is my attempt.

To my readers:
Especially you, Rachel and Stephanie, yes, I know, it's sappy. It's really sappy. Keep your laughter to yourselves. =-P

I actually connected with this one.
I have written for someone in this same manner. I tried in so many ways to let him know just how he made me feel. my poems was the only thing that came close to it. some of them I have here(in allpoetry)

o.o.o.o.o.....sappy. Do I have to say it again? I will. You two make me sick. I admit, I'm jealous. I wish I had someone to say those kinds things to. Katie just told me that I needed to find someone, but whatever, I know that. Sooooooo. She wanted me to comment on something, and she put you on my favorite list, so I will comment, on this, and maybe other things.

    *sniffle* Eep.

Yes, it's sappy. But I give you permission to be sappy, considering I'm doing the same thing right now (I absolutely and completely -refuse- to share any of the poems I'm writing). And words are pretty cheap for commenting on this, too, because how many times can you say, "Hey, that's great," before it gets worn out? Anyway, in short, I love it, and I'm not laughing.

    *loss for words*

Oh Tim..words aren't enough to describe the way I feel when reading it. To say "I love you" would be true, but it just isn't enough. You're right, there are millions of words, but you could use all of them and it wouldn't be enough, because emotions just aren't describable, essipecially when they're this strong. But what else can I say? I love you, Tim.

    Freakn' Awesome

Just randomly reading stuff, don't mind me...but wow. This poem says exactly what's been on my mind for the past 3 months or so..only in better words. You obviously care very deeply for this girl because your writing says it all. Hope things work out for you.
