Winter Tears

Water cascades of my pillow
From twilight until dawn
Love lies bleeding
At my feet
Yet I feel no need for scorn

The rain upon the tin roof
Echoes through this empty heart
Dreams faltered
Truth restrained
A world of trust torn apart

Sacrifice and heartbreak
Gives rise to a new beginning
Clouds break
The grey abates
Pleasure returns boldly singing

Truth and love find me once more
Creating warmth where there was pain
My heart awoken
No need to cry
Those tears of winter again.

Thanks riddle bird, strive to reach the glimmer of hope was the message I wanted to convey here. I am glad you were able to see that.

nicely put together. I like the unusual rythm of this piece. I also like that it shows hope returning after the pain. It is important to remember that and keep faith that the darkness will pass in it's due time.

A touching write. There are moments in our life where we are broken and left shattered to pieces..and then somewhere along the line..we find the missing pieces. Each stanza is meaningful and deep. I especially liked this stanza:The rain upon the tin roof
    Echoes through this empty heart
    Dreams faltered
    Truth restrained
A world of trust torn apart

    Beautifully penned. Take care~
