Master of the never land
Call the keeper of the sand
Bid him please to grant me sleep
Stem the tide of tears I weep
Spread his sacred grains of peace
Help my soul to find release
From the agony and sighs
Sand Man, touch and close my eyes
Help me now oh mystic one
Take away the troubling sun
That does burn through out the night
I find no solace in its light
I am in a desperate need
Hear me now as I do plead
Cast your spell of restful bliss
Sand Man, grant me slumbers kiss
For the darkness I do yearn, the calming sight of midnight's face
All my struggles to forget, the pain and torment to erase
Shadows call to me in anger, voices of the past do rave
Show me now your tender mercy, help, my weary soul, to save...
Master of the realm of dreams
Listen to my silent screams
Let me feel your tender hand
Cause my demons to disband
Break the hold of guilt and shame
I call upon your ageless name
I beg the end of sleepless plight
Please Sand Man, let me rest tonight

Take a bow!!!
Ok!! I give up!! I cannot be a poet when their are others like your self who are true and talented artists!! I simply loved this piece!! Wow!! Boy did I ever feel depressed afterwards...now I want the sandman!!! Save my from the nothing I have become and will remain...save my soul although I feel I have none...just save me and take away this pain!!! Great work!!! I give you a standing ovation!!! -
Another excellent write! This one caught my eye because I actually struggle with insomnia as well...some nights I do not go to bed at all. Sleeplessness is a wretched thing. All you can do in the wee hours of the morning is think, and too much thinking can drive one mad. I hope your soul finds peace tonight! Excellent work.

I love the way you blend the esoteric with the mundane and the sacred. Very well done.

Sweet, this is awsome man! How were you feeling when you wrote this 'cause it is awsome! Man that's some good stuff, but I can relate... It's like after a day full of problems and you run them over and over in your head so the day never ends, but you want it to so dreadfully. Well this is a fantastic write so please do keep up your work! I'll be reading your stuff more often.

Oh my, talking about leaving someone sighing. No you certainly don't want the other guys to know you have such a beautiful way with words do you? Not from shame sweety but from mere envy alone. They would all die to have words like this form from their own lips. Beautiful! I have been on a dream kick myself lately so this one touched me warmly. Well done!!!
