Pleasant holiday write. You might want to leave out the first Christmas here:

as we sit by the Christmas fire
dreaming of a white Christmas; (and replace it with blazing)

otherwise, this is not bad. You've certainly met all the criteria for the contest.

There were several lines in this that I just loved but I have to say the one that hits me with a POW! has got to me the imagery and just the great overall sound of the lines that read... "Snow-topped ferns bow their sleepy heads". To me, the image and the words just create a beautiful scene. Great job! Good luck in the contest!

    Excellent!

Positively beautiful. What a grand picture you painted for us here. Me being in California now, I will greatly miss all of what you have written here as Ohio has beautiful winters I miss the snow, I love it especially when it is just cold enough to snow but not too cold and it snows those big, huge flakes and when you look at it coming down at night, you look up at the street lights and it looks like a giant kalidoscope. Geesh I need to quit or I will be writing you a book as a comment

Anyways, thanks so much for entering our contest and for getting all of the titles included in your poem, it is just beautiful, you did a splendid job. Best of luck in the contest and may you have a blessed holiday season. Be Well and Be Blessed

A beautiful piece of romantic poem that evokes love and romance between the persona and her dearly beloved one.

    THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!!! :F

I thank you for your help, because now I see where you're coming from... the word I chose instead is tranquil... for it's softness, lethargic is laziness, and although some of us do get "kethargic" in the Winter time, I saw what you did, thank you once again... my dear sweet TomisB... My love, yours as always, your friend, Angel

How taken we are with the untouched, unmarked snow. You have created a beautiful image here. I only argue with one word. Lethargic. I would find something a little less negative in its conotation. It could be just me. Take care. I hold you in my heart. Love,Tom B.
