Nursery Rhymes

Nursery Rhymes

What did old mother Hubbard,
keep in her cupboard,
that made Jack's beanstalk grow?
Why did Little Bo Peep,
lose all her sheep,
and what did those three monkeys know?

Why did Humpty Dumpty,
go bumpty bumpty,
end up cracked up all over the floor?
He was watching Betty Boop
bend and stoop
too much leaning, trying to see more!

Then there was Jack and Jill,
they went up the hill,
Little Boy Blue had no one at all.
The Three Little bears,
thought they had no cares,
until that wolf came to call!

The Little Old Lady in the shoe,
had many, not a few
and the chick dodging pieces of the sky!
The things that we do,
lost Little Betty's Shoe,
Simple Simon finally got his piece of pie!

No answer is for sure,
even if it were
Peter Piper would still pick his peppers.
The cat has some fun,
Mice On The Run
and some are some pretty good steppers.

Whether we're tight or loose,
it's still Mother Goose,
and the Nursery Rhymes still tell the tale.
We hope you'll stop to read
they are fun indeed,
and they're very enlightening as well!

I like the rhymes and the flow.
I like the way you combined many nursery rhymes in the poem.
I think that it would be better if you stuck to a few nursery rhymes and expanded apon them.

    Excellent.

    A little interesting.
I was a little iffy about the Betty Boop reference. But other than that,
    for the long stretch,
it was over all a pretty desend down to earth poem which summarizes a lot of
    nice nursery rhymes.

    Thanks for sharing.

I liked it this piece! It was very amusing. I liked your collaboration of not just 3 or 4, but of almost every nursery rhyme. Mots of the collaboration pieces like this only used a select few, but you had a great variety in this poem! I enjoyed reading this, although the flow in some places of the poem seemed a bit choppy. But all around, this was very good work. Thank you for entering my contest, I enjoyed reading this!!

Hahaha! Very funny, and quite a clever piece as well. The rhythm is just like that of a nursery rhyme too, so good job at that. Very nicely done. Thanks for entering, and best of luck in the contest.
