Teenagers always looking for acceptance
Feeling so desperate, just trying to fit in
Heart longing to be noticed by others
So lost, where should my searching begin
Always standing alone outside the group
Knowing somethings are wrong they do
No desire to do it, yet wanting to belong
Wishing I could become someone new
Falling deeper and deeper into despair
Hearing only the sound of my voice
Becoming desperate, continuing to fail
I now struggle to make the right choice
Hatred filling the emptiness in my heart
A voice deep inside starts to speak
Preparing to give up... on everything
Dear Lord bring the comfort I now seek
Looking for a friend to help me through
Someone to teach me a righteous life
A friend who will always stand by me
Through all my struggles and my strife
Will you be the one who helps me stand?
The one to pick me up when ever I fall
Always being there in bad times and good
Hearing my cries for help when I call
Teach me how to be responsible
Let my heart overflow with Jesus love
Help me follow the ten commandments
I want to live my life for God above

Oh, so lovely, I want to cry tears of hope and sadness all at once. The quest for friendship is in all of us. Some of us have an easier time than others. May everyone we meet be a friend!

I collaberated with SandyGram. I'm sorry that wasn't made obvious. She said in her comment on your contest that I'm who she was doing this with. I believe this does follow the rules.
