Definition for: Human Beings
who destroy and pollute the world
without a care for impact
Cruel and heartless monsters
are what we have made
ourselves into
I'm ashamed
of these

The
dead are
not stupid
or judgemental
They are blissfully
silent and calm, always
and would make better lovers
than the stuck-up, all-powerful
They listen always and never speak
and I hate the living and love the dead

I had wanted the top to come out as perfectly shaped as the bottom, but oh well. I hope you like it. It's two etherees...Just two stanzas.
The poetry form, Etheree, consists of 10 lines of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 syllables. Etheree can also be reversed and written 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. Get creative and write an Etheree with more than one verse, but follow suit with an inverted syllable count.

You know what really makes this even more interesting is that it is in the shape of an hour glass. You speak of life in the first half, then death in the 2nd where time has run out. It's just something I wanted to point out.
