My best friend lives in California
Where you really can't tell, seasons change
The smogs is so heavy like the fur on my cat
It is all around and just hangs
My cat thinks it's funny
To lie around or mutilate everything in site
He creeps behind me late at night
And pounces on me, what a fright!!!
My crazy ole cat, his name is Peepers
He has such a merry old way
He annoys me with all his energy
Sometimes he purrs on all day
He frolics and plays, like a cat on the prowl
Chasing his toys all around
The Christmas tree is his climbing post,
He's Santa, leaving presents in mounds
The tinsel that hangs is an awesome thing
For Peepers to play with all night
Unfortunately, do not laugh, my friend
Where it comes out, it's not a pretty site.
But all in all, as the winter comes
And my winter blues bury me so
It's Peepers my cat that cheers me up
He definitely puts on a show!

This was very cute.
Between the cat and my little dog I cannot put up a Christmas tree so I just have one on the shelf that is a ceramic tree. I liked this one about the cats. Animals are something else again aren't they? -

Good morning Jasmine, this is a funny poem of your cat Peepers! What a name, lol. It sounds as if he enjoys a meal of tinsel from time to time, it reminds me of my girlfriends dog being fed from my son some Hershey's kisses with the aluminum foil still on them, lol. I'm sure you can see the similiarities of the two! You poem was wonderful and a joy to read. I'm sure your children would love to sit and listen.
