Three wise Magi follow a star,
delivering gift and traveling far.
Over mountains, fields and desert,
bring a new King gifts treasured.
Shine and sparkled golden gift,
also precious Frankincense.
Alas the one who brought Myrrh,
adored holy infant child on earth.
The Prince of Peace grace in light,
came to teach us wrong from right.
Heavenly angels in attendance,
lion and lamb lay calm defenceless.
The Lord thy God has sent his Son,
a promise of life everlasting in love.

Beautiful poem suseann, but in the title you wrote Maji and in the poem you wrote Magi, which one is correct? I think its Magi.
Excellent poem still, I loved it, and good little cartoon picture too.
best wishes as always

A hymn was ,this poem , so long ago , and a star they followed,
to see the lamb of God . Peaceful this sounded with a hope
for all mankind . -
A lovely rewrite of the original...nice work. I did want five titles, but this is still a wonderful write. Thank you for entering.
