Tis the Season

Missing image

Watching for Santa in the moonlight
it is time for fun and holiday cheer
silver bells echo across the valley
once again the best time of the year

The stores are filled with laughter
noel is written on the Christmas cards
time to deck the halls with holly
send your best wishes and regards

Red and green decoration are blinking
Up on the house top for all to see
children are filled with anticipation
hanging the holly and trimming the tree

It's Christmas once again at our house
kids listen for his sleigh bells in the air
peeking from the stairs Christmas morning
to see If Santa had already been there

    Beautifully done.

You and I both like Christmas, I guess because it is a happy time of year and one to share with friends. In songs and in poems, I can never get enough of delightful readings. A lovely way to combine your songs in poems.

Thank you for the wonderful comment. You do have a way with words I must say. You seem to enjoy life and are verypositive.A treatcompared to some of the doom and gloom poets on here. I shall read some of your poetry. I hope it's as positive as your comment Take care, Sandy
