Hurricane Katrina-Let us live

The time is ending
So dark the sky
Think of all we'll lose
I want to cry
Will we die here
Or will we live again
Was not leaving this place
Our final sin?
But not our fate
It can not end there
God is with us
His love we will share
IF IT IS OUR TIME
I hope and Pray
That we are right
And ready to go today
I love you Lord
No matter what
Please spare our lives
You can have this hut
Let us live
To tell the tale
Lord let us live
We shall not fail
We will take your storm
Make us strong

Author notes

Basically wrote this right before the eye of Hurricane Katrina hit land on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.  I didn't evacuate like I should of, I highly recomend doing as local official impose.
