As I walk down this street,
I see the green leaves of Spring.
My head turns quick,
And I watch the flowers breathe.
Life changes quickly
With your head turned away.
I cannot keep up this pace.
I cannot stay today.
The sun shines brightly
In my face for now.
But soon Fall will reflect
The light somehow.
I'll fall and fade,
Like a leaf and wait.
Once I hit the ground,
I'll accept my fate.......it's not too late.
It's cold outside.
My body drinks the air,
Then quivers from her mortal stare.
I have to sleep and dream
That I'm waiting
For you to quickly change
What I've been hating........I'm concentrating
As the sun shines brightly
In my face,
For in a moment,
There will be no warmth
Left to embrace.
Like a ripe thorn
That drags through flesh,
I'll stay still
As she walks past death.......then takes her last breath.
Seasons change,
And so have I.
My sanity,
A clever lie.
I liked the smell
And warmth of Spring.
But the chill of Winter,
Makes me scream.

Very nicely done... good job! I really like your descriptions of the seasons you mentioned. The only thing I would change is making your sentences at the end of each stanza shorter or spliting it in two. Thanks for entering and good luck! Keep on writing!
