Lies
Deceit
False truths
Hindering the beauty
Hiding the true essence
Veiling what lies within
Disguising all that you are
Until you become
The falseness you show
Melding to the mask
Losing yourself
In the depths of darkness
Forever to lurk
In the shadows
Searching for you
The real you
The you you lost
The day you put on
The mask

A friend of mine challenged me to write about what we as humans naturally do in hiding certain parts of ourselves.
