The Cloak & Dagger Society I & II

Missing image
She moves away
from the forceful fury
of the wild Wind

& turns up her collar,
adjusting it tightly
around her neck;

she slips her hooded cloak
around her shoulders

& slips into sultry Shadows
where silent Solitude waits
for Dreams to be revealed...

She is invisible to us now ~

yet, she watches over us
as we wade, in wonderment,
through our tribulations
& tasks at hand...

she stands away
from the madding crowd,

always discerning danger

& rescuing those who wander
too close to chaos
& the cliffs
we cannot see ahead...

She is The Woman in Red,
our heroine
of the Dance;

she listens to Music
we cannot hear

& sees
the unfathomable depths
within our Souls...

Be warned, those who scorn ~
she knows who you are
& where you think you hide...

THE SEQUEL...

The Woman in Red
was here today,

dancing within
her invisible Realm ~

she's aware
of who came
from Shadows, in Silence ~

she knows who stayed,
in Light...

She will offer
a gentle rebuke
to those who take,
without giving in return ~

she'll gently caress,
with a whispering glance,
those who care
enough to share...

Be warned,
those who've scorned ~

You've made her list
& she watches...

you will not leave
with what does not belong
to you...

If you do, she will swoop
into your domain

& leave a mark
upon your door...

Beware,
those who would
steal Dreams
from the Hearts of the Innocent ~

you hold no guile for her ~

she shows Mercy
to those deserving Souls,

but offers only dread
to those without Pity
or Conscience...

A private joke...hehehe In response to a request for information on her identity...Nahhh...if I tell, then her Superpowers are diminished!!! LOL... Don't be concerned...she fights the Good fight in the battle against the Evil Minions... hehehe She's a Friend to all that are in dire need of one...a Good Soul dedicated to decimating the danger in our midst...ROFLMAO... Sorry, Poet...can't do it...won't do it...I shall protect her identity unto Death...unless, of course, she chooses to reveal herself...stay tuned, kiddies...the cliffhanger resumes tomorrow...{maniacal laughter as the music fades...}

Very mysterious and intriguing..Hah, went waay over my head though, and left me going, wait what? It was fun to read though, and I read it a couple of times to form my own ideas of what it was about. Thanks for entering our contest, best of luck.

This was great. There's such an aura of mystery around this "Woman in Red". Great work. I liked the first one better than the second, though both were still fantastic. Thanks for joining the contest

Be afraid...be very afraid... as I told my Friend Doc, 'this came about from a phone conversation with a Friend of mine that got a lil' outta hand... We were griping about people clicking & not commenting on features & those that leave mean~spirited 'critiques'...She was a gold member; they can see who have been on their pages, even if they don't leave a comment...it got realll interesting there for awhile...' I'm glad ya liked my lil' foray into the bizarre, my Friend... Wanda

    Wanda,

This was nice and different. I love the imagery you used and the alliteration in Part 1 was dead on.
    Bravo!
