As My Stories Unfold

I gaze out the window
As my mind wanders out
Out to the world beyond

My eyes glaze over
While I imagine vast forests
Filled with wondrous creatures

My breathing quickens
Pretending that I'm falling
Flying through the sky

My adrenaline kicks in
Swimming with the sharks
And all water animals

My arms litter with goose bumps
Almost as if I really hear
The haunting sounds of the night

My hair stands on end
Facing down my greatest fears
And becoming greater than them

My heart beat races
Imagining adventures that
I wish I could experience

My pen flies across the page
Writing out my stories
As they unfold in my mind
