Could've...almost revised

"Umm, it feels like its gonna rain," I shift my weight from left to right, dropping a heavy
sigh. His eyes are watching the clouds shift above us and he nibbles
on his bottom lip. "Yeah, yeah it's smelled that way all day." he says as he leans up on his
elbows, my eyes watching him calmly, though
my heart raced beneath my blue rain coat...waiting for him to lean closer to me. Instead
he sits up and popped his back, then searched for his cigarettes.
My heart slowed and fluttered as I watched and waited for him to light his Camel 100, and didn't
remember I had the zippo. "Where'd Angie go? Where the fuck did I put her?" His hair
fell into his eyes as I watched his slender fingers zipping and unzipping...pulling and
tugging, opening and closing, then reaching for me. My heart again started racing a
marathon when he reached over to me, pulling me closer and sliding his right hand down
my back and into the back pocket of my jeans..."Ah ha, you sly thief, stealing my girl
away..." He giggled as the cigarette dangled from his mouth, the bottom lip still red were
he nibbled it. "Oh, oh yeah, I forgot I put her there..." I said as I felt my ears grow hot
as he held the lady zippo to his cigarette, igniting a flame above her painted red hair.
"Exhaling..." he whispered into my ear, letting the smoke slide past his lips and into my
ear canal, some escaping to swirl in the rain threatening air around us. He laid back on
his elbows, smoking and twirling Angie in between his fingers, "Where to then," I
asked..."after you finish exhaling of course." He still didn't look at me, never breaking his
stare from the sky...a game of Who'll Blink First with God, when he said "Shh, not
now...we'll figure it out."
"What? I mean where do you wanna go when it starts raining, Justin?"
"Shh, I said we'll figure it out...trust me, then?" He walked his hand across my thigh (like
his two fingers were legs) as he sat up, still staring God down he slide Angie back into my
pocket.
Justin won, because the rain started pouring, before he blinked...my hands reached for
my hood, but were deferred as he stood and grabbed my wrist. We ran for his truck...he
let me drive, the keys still in my front pocket. I reached for those as we raced across the
grass to the truck. Before I slide the key outta of my pocket, his hands found mine. He
opened the passenger side door, and slide in on top of me and without slamming the
door shut, our feet still kissed by the rain, he whispered "Let's just figure this out?"
