*A Special Love*

A Special Love

She sits on her chair
listening to the waves,
slowly crashing on the dock,
and the birds singing
from the beauty of the trees.
The leaves have turned
to so many beautiful shades of
reds,
oranges, and
yellows.
Filling the country side with
such beauty.
The majestic power of the mountain
dances upon the waves
as it reaches to the depths of one’s heart.

But as
She looked
to the empty chair beside her
she smiled and her eyes
sparkled in such a special way.

I slowly walk up to her
telling her
how beautiful the day was
and I ask,
why she always smiles
to the empty chair.

She told me of a very special love,
how her soul was forever connected
to her true love.
Even thou he may
no longer walk with her,
but his soul
continues to reach from the heavens
so he can always be with her.

I smiled,
and said I will let you enjoy the day.
As I started to walk away,
I heard two people laughing
As I turned
I could see his spirit with her.
Enjoying their time together.

    Beautiful!

this is so sad...I am so touched and your words penetrated deep inside my heart! A beautiful poem of love and lost, yet a love that stayed forever! Nothing, I will say it again, nothing can ever stop a loving heart. Not even death, nor distance or time and I truly believe in it! that special love that only comes once is a lifetime.... So if we have it, we should not let it go, for we might lost our chance... Ohhhh.. sorry, I am carried away! Snap! I am back to reality!
A very well written wonderful poem that is very moving!
    Good luck in the contest!
