Winter Whiteoutl

Missing image

Visibility is down to zero
snow is blowing in the air
the fury of Mother Nature
shows us a blizzard is here

It is a white out in the city
only white is seen by my eyes
everything else disappeared
even the color of gray skies

A great day for a cozy fire
a cup of hot chocolate or two
candle will light the darkness
as I say a prayer just for you

My love is so many miles away
my thoughts are with you there
I ask God to keep you safe
and to listen to my prayers

The storm will soon be ending
God's wonder will be everywhere
His blanket of glistening beauty
laid softly out for all to share

Embers flickers with reflection
as memories linger from yesterday
my love is still deep in my heart
warming me on this winter's day

    This was BEAUTIFUL! Every line every stanza it was perfect, I love how it just flows all the way to the last verse. You are truly a gifted writer who's penmanship or is that penwomanship,lol any how this poem was very beautiful I loved everything about it...thank you for sharing such elegance in of winter in this form......have a wonder day, Ken IBT

    Hi Sandygram, Oh, this is a lovely poem.. I love the longing for the loved one so far away and how it reflects your thoughts of them on that stormy night. Nothing is more wonderful than being snuggled up with the one you love on a winters night. Beautiful poem again, as so many of yours are! This is the reason I have you on my fav's list!!!
