Sitting here alone wondering why,
Left not knowing waiting for a reply.
So I question my mind endlessly,
waiting for the time I will finally see.
How are you able to set it all aside?
Your feelings you always seem to hide.
Is it lonely to live lost in your head?
Since your heart is now cold, empty, and dead.
I so badly at first wanted acceptance from you,
and as time went on my desire grew.
But I learned that your heart was not open for me,
it was locked and I could not find the key.
The silence now is comforting,
for no longer do I question unanswered things.
It seems as though numbness has settled my mind,
my feelings I have now left far behind.
