Ode to a Celtic Moon eclipsed

You will be missed
as if the moon was
in total eclipse,
and though you will
be hidden by the
clouds of doubt,
that have gathered
all around you
you will still
peek through to see
what the mortal poets
scratch in blood and sweat
below your sanctuary from
the whipping post,
I wish you rest, and peace,
and love in some form,
or another to carry you
over this thresh hold of pain.

Godspeed on your journey back as well.~~~~Artis

    Bravo!

Pure brilliance again! It's been a while since I've gotten a chance to read any of your poetry, but this is such a joy yet again. You've always been a favorite of mine, and this poem shows your skills with diction and imagery. I also really enjoyed your use of the tmesis of "thresh hold." I found it a very creative choice. You're an amazing writer and I look forward to every new piece you publish to AP. Blessed be your holidays!

The moon in all it's phases will show his face to us. Even eclipsed he cannot help but show the edges of him. Leaving traces so that we may find our way to him...or letting us know where he's been. May it be a ray of sunshine that warms the heart this was for. One cannot help but feel the love behind the words.

desperation(or hope), like many emotions that hold power, can drive us on to great things if used as a fuel. if allowed to control us, these emotions will destroy. best of wishes to you...and remember, victory loves prudence.

    awestruck!

One cannot help but feel the heart squeezed so tightly and feel a deep sense of mourning. I sit with tears welling in my eyes. For if this is written for another, the way your heart reaches out is so deeply and proundly touching. And equally so if not. The way your heart reaches out and the way your soul sees just reaches within me and pulls me there!
